Re: Another SJ24 New Owner

Hi Dave, First of all - congratulations, SJ24 is a great little boat. Regarding the hull/joint - I would guess it is just old paint. Check the gallery, not sure if there are any close-up pictures of keel. Mine is in the water right now, if you can wait I can take plenty of pictures the next spring :...

Re: "new" SJ24 on Pender Island BC

Hi Rod and Jane,

Congratulations on your new boat :)

Regarding the dodger - you can check pictures of my boat ("Cosmo"), the design is fairly strait forward, mine is getting old and at some point I will replace it (canvas at least).

Re: Forward Hatch Cover.

Hi Richard, sorry was busy - done bottom painting, etc. this weekend. I think the hatch (actually different one - transparent) was available from Gene Adams (see the files section), honestly I am not sure if he is still around with SJ-24 spare parts, if you contact him could you please provide some ...

Getting ready for new season, paint, ouch!

Just got my regular paint, the price (before sale) was kind of high (doubled comparing 2 years ago), 219$ (CAD) is more reasonable, West Marine had it for 270 (+15% taxes)...

Hi DinoJuan,

not sure if you still looking, anyway,
where are you located?
My boat is in Horseshoe bay (we have no lifting for sail boats), so I use Thunderbird marina yard for painting (by myself), can recommend it for sure.

Welcome aboard, Kenny,
SJ-24 is a wonderful boat.

You can also check the Yahoo SJ-24 newsgroup, I suspect there is more activity currently :)

Hi hiram, It seems it is going to take some effort to restore her, any structural damages on the hull? Would be nice to inspect it under the waterline as well (blisters, etc.) The water more likely comes from windows since their sealing probably damaged. I paid for my SJ-24 6 times more, but it was ...
